My date ordered a $150 lobster dinner on our first date and then refused to pay — moments later, karma hit her right there in front of me.
I met her on Tinder.
Nothing unusual — we matched, exchanged a few messages, and she seemed normal enough. Funny, confident, the kind of person who knew exactly what she wanted.
We agreed to meet for dinner a few days later.
Before we even picked the place, I said it straight: "I usually prefer to split the bill on first dates."
She didn't hesitate. "Of course," she replied. "That's fair."
So I thought we were on the same page.
The restaurant she chose wasn't cheap, but I didn't think much of it. It was a first date — I figured we'd both keep it reasonable.
I was wrong.
The moment the waiter came over, she didn't even look at the menu for long.
"I'll have the lobster," she said casually.
It was the most expensive thing on the menu.
I ordered something simple. Not cheap, but definitely nowhere near what she picked. The whole time, she kept talking like nothing was off — like this was completely normal.
When the bill came, I glanced at it.
Her meal alone was more than half the bill.
Still, I stayed calm.
"Alright," I said, pulling out my card, "we'll just split it like we said."
She leaned back in her chair and looked at me like I'd just said something ridiculous.
"I'm not paying," she said.
I actually thought she was joking.
"What?"
She shrugged. "You're the man. Men pay. That's how I've always done it."
I stared at her, trying to process what I was hearing.
"You agreed to split it."
"Yeah," she said, completely unfazed. "But I didn't think you'd actually mean it."
At that point, I was honestly getting angry.
Not just because of the money — but because of how casually she said it, like I was the one being unreasonable.
And just as I was about to respond, karma stepped in. ⬇️

On the bus, a woman with two children started a scene and demanded that a young man give up his seat, but suddenly the man did something that made everyone else freeze 😨😢
The bus was crowded. Most of the passengers were elderly, some were holding string bags, others were discussing prices and the weather. A young man of about eighteen sat in one of the aisle seats. He had tattoos on his arm and neck, and a light stubble on his face. He was wearing a dark T-shirt and looked very tired. He didn't speak to anyone, just stared straight ahead.
At the next stop, a mother with two small children boarded. One child was holding her hand, the other was snuggled up to her side. There were no empty seats. The woman looked around and immediately fixed her gaze on the young man. She approached him and said loudly, not hiding her irritation:
"Young man, give up your seat. I have two children."
The bus gradually grew quiet. Several people turned in their direction. The young man looked up and looked at her calmly, but didn't stand up.
The young man looked up, but didn't stand up.
"Don't you see? I have two small children," she said louder. "Or do you not care?"
People on the bus started turning around.
"Young people these days have no respect at all," she added, this time for the entire bus to hear. "They sit there slouched, while a woman with children should stand."
The young man calmly replied:
"I wasn't rude to anyone."
"Then give way," she interrupted. "It's basic manners. A real man doesn't sit when a mother and children are nearby."
One of the passengers nodded. The woman continued:
"Is it hard for you to stand up? You're young and healthy. Or do your tattoos get in the way?"
"Are you sure you deserve to sit in this seat just because you have children?"
"Of course," she snapped. "I'm a mother." Are you even worthy?
Tension filled the cabin. The boy slowly stood up, holding onto the handrail.
"See, you can do it when you want," Mom said with a noticeable triumphant tone. "You should have done it the easy way."
But it was at that moment that the young man did something that left everyone stunned. 😨😢 Continued in the first comment..👇👇 Tell us your opinion: who's right in this story?.

My daughter married my first love from high school — during their wedding, he pulled me aside and said, "I'm finally ready to tell you what I've been hiding for 20 years."
I became a mother quite early — by the age of 20, I had already welcomed my daughter, Emily.
After 21 years of marriage, my husband passed away following a prolonged fight with cancer, and Emily and I adjusted to life without him.
Once Emily graduated from college, she began seeing someone.
She frequently shared how happy she was and promised to introduce us soon.
So when she chose to invite him for dinner, I felt a surge of excitement.
When there was a knock at the door, I opened it — and was taken aback.
Emily was standing there, holding hands with a man significantly older than she was.
I recognized him instantly.
It was Mark — MY high school love.
To give some context: we dated for over a year. I got accepted into a college out of state, and Mark opposed it. That’s when I ended our relationship.
He claimed that I shattered his heart, and after that, we never crossed paths again.
I pulled Mark into the kitchen and demanded clarity.
He insisted he had no idea Emily was my daughter and expressed he was just as surprised as I was. He confessed that the 20-year age gap had initially troubled him, but he loves Emily and feels helpless about it.
When I attempted to speak with Emily, she brushed me off.
Everything unfolded so quickly.
Just a few months later, Emily revealed her engagement ring and said:
"Mom, I love Mark. He proposed to me, and we're getting married soon. So either you accept this, or we cut all ties, and you'll never see me again."
After losing my husband, I couldn't bear to lose my daughter as well.
On the wedding day, after the ceremony, everyone was in high spirits and dancing.
I stood at the back of the venue.
Then, Mark approached me and pulled me aside.
He appeared perplexed and anxious.
I asked him, "Did something happen?"
He took a breath and replied:
"I'M FINALLY READY TO CONFESS EVERYTHING — AND TELL YOU SOMETHING I'VE BEEN HIDING FROM YOU FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS." ⬇️

MY 15-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER SUDDENLY STARTED SPENDING ALL HER TIME WITH HER GRANDPA — ONE DAY HE PULLED ME ASIDE AND SAID, "HANNA WOULD NEVER TELL YOU THIS, BUT I THINK AS HER MOTHER, YOU NEED TO KNOW."
My daughter has always been close to me. Or at least… she used to be. But lately, something changed.
Hanna barely talks to me at home anymore. Short answers. Closed door. Headphones in.
Every time she leaves the house and I ask where she's going, she gives me the same answer.
"Grandpa Stuart's."
At first, I didn't think much of it. He lives in the same town, and they've always gotten along well. But it became… constant.
Every day after school. Weekends. Any free moment she had. It was always him.
I tried asking what they were doing together.
"It's none of your business," she said once, not even looking at me. That one hurt more than I expected.
So I called Stuart myself.
"She's just helping me out in the garden," he said calmly. "Nothing to worry about."
Nothing to worry about. I wanted to believe that. I really did.
I tried to fix things between me and Hanna. Talk to her. Give her space. Ask her if something was wrong.
"Everything's fine," she kept saying.
But I knew my daughter.
And something wasn't fine. I could feel it.
Then one Saturday morning, everything shifted.
Hanna was still asleep when I heard a car pull up outside. It was Stuart.
He never came over unannounced.
And the look on his face when I opened the door—
it made my stomach tighten.
"Can you come with me?" he asked quietly. No explanation. Just that.
We stepped outside, and instead of talking there, he suggested we walk to the park down the street.
The whole way, he barely said a word.
Then, finally, he stopped, looked at me, and said, "Hanna would never tell you this, but I think as her mother, you need to know." ⬇️
