Washington, D.C. just hit a major milestone: a record-breaking 27.2 million people visited the city in 2024—1.25 million more than the previous year! 🎉 According to Destination DC, these visitors spent a whopping $11.4 billion, generating $2.3 billion in tax revenue and supporting over 111,500 local jobs.
But even with these record numbers, there’s concern: international tourism is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels, and officials worry the dip might not rebound soon.
