We are so excited to share that registration is open for our 2026 summer camps! These camps are for rising 6th-8th grade students. Each camp includes: breakfast and lunch, swimming lessons, field trips, hands-on projects, and fun new experiences. Scholarships are available for both full and half cost of the camp given an initial deposit.

Reminiscing on 4 years ago today. We were visiting Washington in anticipation of our in progress house closing a few months down the road. We were moving from Wake Forest, a town we thought we’d stay around forever. But as wonderful as it was, it got busy and crowded. It changed quickly in a direction we weren’t seeking. We wanted slow, simple, meaningful, small town life. Our shoulders relaxed, we smiled more, people smiled back (to our surprise!), and most importantly, our kids could feel it. They walked about Washington like they already lived there - confident, happy, exploring, carefree. There’s something about Washington, North Carolina you can’t describe, but we’ll do our best and show you around while we’re at it! Then you can decide for yourself, see for yourself, and live it. The neighborhood is filling in nicely! Very limited lots remain in the last waterfront neighborhood available within walking distance to downtown Washington! This is one of the great things we noticed relocating to North Carolina: some things are still FREE. Coming from a state where every single thing is charged a fee - from the parking to the entrance to the view to the activity to the (you name it).... whereas here in NC, there's so much beauty, fun, entertainment, and activities to enjoy without spending anything. We LOVE NC!
