I've been doing a little reflecting lately...
Life has been really, really good.
Not because everything has been perfect—trust me, there are still stressful days and moments where I feel completely overwhelmed—but because of how much I've changed.
If you would've asked me 18 months ago where I'd be today, I never would've imagined this version of my life. Somewhere along the way I finally stopped trying to control absolutely everything. (Which, if you know me... is no small feat. 😂)
Instead, I started letting things unfold the way they were meant to. I stopped living from a place of desperation and started believing that what is meant for me will find me. And honestly... it has.
The biggest gift has been learning to walk away from the things that don't serve me anymore. The peace that comes with protecting your energy is something I can't even put into words.
A perfect example...
Recently someone messaged me and essentially said, *"We'll let you sell our home for 3%."*
A year ago? Rookie of the Year Jennifer probably would've jumped at it. Another listing. More exposure. Another chance to prove myself.
Today's Jennifer jumped in did some digging and asked a few more questions.
The home had already sat on the market for months at the exact price they wanted to relist it for. They had no flexibility on price, but wanted me to discount my commission.
I simply couldn't do it.
Not because I didn't want the business, but because I know what I bring to the table.
I know the hours I'll invest, the money I'll spend on marketing, the sleepless nights thinking about strategy, the phone calls, the negotiations, the photography, the paperwork... and I also knew I'd be setting both of us up for frustration by listing a home at a price the market had already rejected.
So I respectfully told them what I believed the home should be listed for, what I believed it would realistically sell for, and that I wouldn't be discounting my services or taking on a listing I didn't truly believe I could help succeed.
And then...
I walked away. Honestly? I was proud of myself.
Not because I said no to a listing—but because I finally valued my own time, my knowledge, and my peace enough to leave something on the table that would've only created noise in my life.
The funny thing is... the more I've stopped chasing everything, the more the right opportunities have shown up.
And now, in just a few short weeks, I'll finally get to share another exciting chapter that has been unfolding behind the scenes. It's something that feels so incredibly aligned with who I am, and I truly can't wait.
Don't worry... I'm not going anywhere. ❤️ I'll still be helping buyers and sellers navigate real estate, and I'll still be doing just enough hair for those of you who simply refuse to let me retire completely.
Life has a funny way of working out when you stop forcing it.
What's meant for you really does have a way of finding you.
