The older I get, the more I realize the "perfect house" usually isn't perfect.

The kitchen gets messy.

The grass needs mowing.

The kids destroy the game room.

Someone leaves 47 pairs of shoes by the door.

There's always laundry.

And somehow…that's the good stuff. ❤️

That's why I love real estate.

I'm technically helping someone buy four walls and a roof.

But really, I'm helping them find the place where their life is about to happen.

Although sometimes that life apparently requires a pool, an acre AND a giant shop. 😂🏡

Saturday around here looks a little different. 😂

🏈 Youth football games
⚾ Baseball games
☕ Coffee that was probably reheated twice
🚗 Approximately 473 miles on the car
🏡 And maybe a house showing squeezed in somewhere between kickoff and first pitch.

This is one of the things I love about living and working around Forney, Terrell, Rockwall and Cedar Creek Lake.

I'm a Realtor, but I'm also a wife, a mom, a sports mom, and someone who spends A LOT of time at the same ball fields, restaurants and local spots as the families I work with.

Real estate isn't just knowing houses.

It's knowing the communities where you're going to raise your kids, spend your Saturdays, make friends and build a life. ❤️

So if you need me this weekend, there's a solid chance I'm either showing a house or yelling for somebody's kid from the sidelines. 😂🏈⚾🏡

And 12 minutes later we're discussing:

A shop.
A pool.
Chickens.
An RV pad.
A garden.
A barn.

For animals they do not currently own. 😂

Texas real estate escalates quickly.
