This flex space is now home to a fourth-generation, family-owned company that’s been in business since 1892. They started right here in the U.S. manufacturing billiards tables and today produce beautiful game room furniture—from pool tables to shuffleboard and everything in between.

I always enjoy learning the stories behind the businesses I work with. Hearing how they navigated COVID and the shifts in U.S. tariffs and still kept the business moving forward was inspiring.

Small businesses like this are the backbone of our economy, and it’s an honor to play a small role in helping them continue to operate.

It’s interesting to me how art scenes often pop up on the fringes of change, and Thrive Art District is a perfect example. Located in Progresso Village, just north of downtown Fort Lauderdale, the district grew out of former warehouse and light-industrial spaces. This area is now increasingly home to creative hubs, wellness centers, cafés, and boutiques. The new energy is exciting but it also leads me to question, as neighborhoods evolve, how do we grow in ways that honor the people and stories that were already here?
