Join me as I commit to reconnecting with the artist in me and share a little more about who I am beyond the deals I close.
I’ve always been a creative at heart. Expression was my refuge growing up, which makes sense considering my lineage. On my mother’s side, my grandfather was a carpenter and my grandmother spent her days teaching and time in between sewing. On my father’s side, one of my aunts is an artist whose work has the power to move anyone who interacts with it.
In my early twenties, I moved to Milan, Italy, to chase my dream of studying fashion design. When that dream fell apart (because life has its plot twists), I unconsciously distanced myself from the very thing that had defined me for so long. Looking back, it was definitely a defense mechanism, a way to cope with the pain of watching something I wanted so badly not pan out.
If you’ve ever connected with me via email, you’ve seen my slogan: “Curating Spaces for Creatives and Doers.” One of the reasons why I love representing creatives so much is because they have the courage I didn’t always have. I admire anyone who takes the road less traveled and succeeds in doing so.
To embark on our dreams isn’t an easy feat, but “it’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life so interesting.” And yes, that’s a quote from one of my favorite novels.
Enjoy this footage of my soul sister and me exploring the art of glassmaking at . We very briefly enjoyed some jazz in the jungle at , and ended the night on a treasure hunt that led us to the best pizza EVER at the one and only .
Here’s to more creativity, good music, and even better food. And of course, trust Groupon to lead me to a heart-glassmaking class that reminded me to vivere con il cuore aperto, sempre, because only when our hearts are open can we receive life’s miracles.
