On summer days sometimes moments of connection are found. Guests become friends and although an ocean apart a special bond is built! There is something magical in the slowing down, connecting and authentic sharing! Thank you new friends!

We have a brands wall here at the ranch in honor of Matt Davis. Also you will see Matt & Kathy Davis and Fletcher Davis ranch on the Latimer County Brand guide. We have history in this area!
What do you find interesting about brands? Do you have a brand? If so, what is it? Better yet, share a pic of yours!

🐂 Latimer County’s Ranching Roots... A Look Back at Our Brands 🐃

Long before ranching shaped the open landscapes of Latimer County, our communities were built around coal. Mining towns, rail lines, and hardworking families powered the early economy. But as the coal era slowed, the land itself took center stage, and ranching grew into one of the defining traditions of our county.

The brands in the image below represent that transition. Each mark belonged to a rancher, a family, a story. They’re more than symbols, they’re pieces of our heritage, stamped into time by the people who worked this land.

Take a moment to zoom in and explore the brands. You might spot a familiar name… or even a piece of your own family history. It’s a great excuse to start a conversation with an older relative and learn something new about where you come from.

Latimer County’s past is rich, rugged, and worth remembering, and we love sharing it with everyone who visits.

Sometimes kids just need space to be kids! That is what we believe and this guy was so excited to help with feeding the animals! This is a good space for families to slow down and reconnect!
