Remember that time when the lockbox was frozen shut & we had to thaw it out with our breath...

People often see the beautiful, finished photos, but they don't always see some of the challenges that happen behind the scenes on staging day.

A few "fun" surprises home stagers sometimes encounter:

🔌 No electricity turned on
🥶 No heat in the middle of winter
🥵 No AC or fans during a summer staging
🔑 Being locked out of the property
🚽 No working toilets set up
🧹 Spaces that haven't been cleaned before our arrival
🔨 Contractors still actively working in the home
📦 Deliveries arriving while we're trying to stage
🚧 Rooms that aren't quite finished yet

As home stagers, we've learned that flexibility is part of the job. We adapt, problem-solve, and keep moving forward to make sure the home is ready to shine when the cameras arrive.

While every project comes with its own set of challenges, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing the final transformation and helping a property make a fantastic first impression.

Home staging isn't just about decorating- it's about creativity, logistics, teamwork, and sometimes a little bit of detective work (like yesterday when we couldn't figure out how to open the garage door).

Home Staging: Yay or Nay?

If you’re getting ready to sell your home, you may be wondering whether home staging is worth the investment.

Our vote? YAY!

Home staging helps buyers focus on the home’s potential, not the current owner’s belongings. A well-staged home can feel more spacious, inviting, and move-in ready—qualities that often attract more interest and stronger offers.

That said, not every property needs a full professional staging package. Sometimes a thorough declutter, strategic furniture placement, and a few updated accessories can make a significant impact.

The goal isn’t to make a home look perfect—it’s to help buyers imagine themselves living there.

Behind every beautifully staged home is a truck packed like a real-life game of Tetris.

Today’s loading checklist:

3 sofas
14 accent chairs
1 bed
4 console tables
8 end tables
8 bar stools
2 coffee tables
Enough plants to start a small jungle
Art taller than the crew loading it
200 pounds of candles, books, and “decorative objects”
Pillows. So many pillows.

And the entire time we’re all standing there asking:
“Do you think this is actually all going to fit?”

Home staging isn’t just decorating… it’s logistics, heavy lifting, problem solving, and a little bit of controlled chaos.

Our newest warehouse athlete, Kassidy, hard at work!

Today’s workout included:

🏋️ Pulling rugs like she’s training for strongman nationals.
🪑 Carrying chairs with the determination of someone avoiding leg day tomorrow.
📦 Helping prep inventory for our upcoming stages like an absolute champ.

Who needs a gym membership when you’ve got staging season? 😂

Home stagers may survive on coffee, moving furniture, and warehouse chaos… but compliments like these? That’s the real fuel!
