Had a closing today that meant a little more to me than the typical one.

I’ll keep it somewhat general for now because I’m not sure if they want everything shared publicly yet. But today was special.

A couple months ago they reached out about a home that caught their eye. We went and looked at it, they loved it, we got it under contract… and today they closed on their very first home.

But what really hit me today wasn’t just the closing.

These aren’t just clients. These are friends. Brittani has known her for over 20 years, all the way back to school. They came to our wedding. We went to theirs. They’ve been at our kids’ birthday parties. Just one of those families that’s been part of life for a long time.

So when they trusted me to guide them through something as big as buying their first home… that meant a lot. There are a lot of agents out there, and the fact they put that trust in me is something I truly don’t take lightly.

Moments like today remind me that this business isn’t really about houses. It’s about people, relationships, and being trusted to walk alongside someone during some really big life moments.

I’m incredibly grateful for their friendship and for the opportunity they gave me to be part of this chapter for their family.

Softball is my outlet. It’s been the thing that lets me compete again, talk some trash, and feel like a kid for a couple hours. And at some point we started thinking — what if we could take something we are already obsessed with and also make an impact.

So we started doing some digging. Finding sponsors. Making sure if we were going to do this, it was tied to something that mattered.

Real estate feels kinda crazy right now.
Everywhere you look, someone’s predicting the next big shift, crash, boom, whatever.

Honestly… I’ve stopped trying to guess all that.

I just focus on what’s in front of me and taking care of the people who trust me with their biggest moves.

Somehow that’s led to putting my 6th listing on the market already in 2026 — basically one every couple days. Not saying that to flex….saying that to tell others that people are still buying and selling. The market is still moving.

I got this text tonight and it honestly stopped me in my tracks.

The real estate industry is a grind. Long days, weird hours, deals falling apart, starting over, doing everything you can to make things right even when it’s not your fault. And sometimes you don’t even know if people notice.

This is why I’m in it. Not for the transactions — for the people. For the families. For the relationships that don’t end at the closing table.

A year after their first deal went sideways, I checked in on them, still remembered what they truly were looking for, and we still got them a house within their budget. That matters to me.

I don’t forget my people.
