Twenty-five years later, many of us can still remember where we were, what we were doing, and the exact moment the world changed forever. We remember the shock, the profound ache, and the heavy uncertainty of that morning like it was yesterday.
Today, we pause to honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the innocent men, women, and children, and the extraordinary first responders—the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and port authority personnel—who ran toward danger without hesitation, laying down their lives to save others.
We also remember the days that followed: how in our darkest hour, our country came together. Neighbors leaned on neighbors, strangers cared for strangers, and unity proved stronger than fear.
Time moves forward, but we will never forget the lives taken, the heroes born, or the resilience that defines us.
May we continue to hold the victims and their families in our hearts, today and always. 🇺🇸
