Lomond Galleries looking beautiful in the sunshine ☀️…next door to our place.

The Argyll Motor Works, currently known as Lomond Galleries, is a former car factory in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It was opened in 1906 by Argyll Motors Ltd, at the time the largest producer of cars in Scotland. After the Argyll company folded it was used as a torpedo factory, subsequently lying empty for many years, and is now a shopping centre. The elaborate structure is protected as a category A listed building.

✨ Wow! ✨

This was our first year as air bnb hosts ….we took a leap of faith and bought a three bed apartment in the spring - renovated it into a two bed, decorated and furnished it within 4 weeks 😳 ….aswell as working our regular jobs and being parents to three little people…let’s be honest, were some wobbly times!

When we thought we were finished with the reno we had to replace a velux window and roof slates within the first few weeks of having guests…

And the verdict?

It was worth every second 🙌

We’ve loved having our little air bnb 💕 we’ve welcome guests from all over the world….off the top of my head …Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, America, Saudi, India, Pakistan and our Christmas guests were from Indonesia 🇮🇩….we’ve had almost 60 groups stay in our little apartment in just six months and wonderful reviews ⭐️

We’ve loved the whole experience, thanks to our guests and here’s to another year as hosts 🥂
