And that’s a WRAP!
Well, technically we wrapped on Monday, but it was a busy week of birthday celebrations, thanksgiving prep, and a big ole’ feast with family yesterday 😜
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family! I am so thankful for all my customers, and clients that have made the transition from cleaning to estate sales SO fun and fulfilling!
I wanted to share what happened after the sale with you all, because there are often questions like “where will all the leftover stuff go?”
- we were able to host two hours of everything free, in which a local family scored a new entertainment center, TV, and DVD player, and grandparents found baby gear and were able to take it home for their sweet grand baby! Others found small tools and cleaning products that will surely be used.
- we gave dishes, some lamps, a clothing rack and hangers to a local community shop in Jonesport. All items will be offered to the public for a small donation, or free, depending on what can be afforded.
- we took two pieces of furniture to the dump, but managed to salvage a beautiful piece of granite from the top of a cabinet. The rest of the cabinet couldn’t make it out of the house without being disassembled.
- miscellaneous trash and garage and barn garbage was also taken to the dump. We managed to take a small dump trailer load to the dump, and that’s IT!
Part of the fun of sales is seeing how on earth we will find homes for the remaining items. My goal is to keep the landfills from being overloaded with items that can be used by someone. We will always do a couple of hours free before we take anything to the dump.

We are so thankful for the support of our community, and want to return the favor. Additionally, if you utilize scrap metal, wood, or other small building scraps, please reach out! I’d rather see “trash” be used by someone in a fun and unique way, than lining a dumpster.
