She’s beautiful despite the lack of progress.

Today we fired our framer and started planning for a replacement. Which will set us back 1-2 weeks.

But our framer was on week 8-9 of a 3-week frame. Time after time he couldn’t get a crew up there.

Between all the rock we ran into and the subpar framer, we are about 2 months behind schedule. Luckily, we are still on track to finish before the end of the year so we can lock in those tax benefits for 2026!

Hopefully we will have some nice updates on the next trip up. Until then, enjoy the views!

The 2nd floor is starting to get framed and I’m finally able to get a taste of what our views will be like. I REALLY wanted A view of the Island Park Reservoir and I knew it would at least be really close.

I’m happy to report that we will have limited views of two different parts of the reservoir.

Can’t wait to see what else gets done over the next few days! 👀

Can’t wait to see this thing come to life over the next few months. I realize I am terrible at posting and usually just keep to the stories. But I want this process documented.

This lot has been punching back as we dig. It’s 90% rock, 10% bigger rocks. Excavation timeline went from 2 days to 3.5 weeks pretty quickly. Budget has doubled on dirt work and we are just happy to almost be done with the rocks :)

We will start framing at the end of the month and get busy on exteriors and mechanicals soon after that. 💪
