Dallas Mavericks parade drew 250,000; can Boston Bruins parade be bigger?

The Boston Bruins, who just won the Stanley Cup finals last night over the Vancouver Canucks, will be hosting their parade on Saturday. Bruins fans have been waiting 39 years since their last Stanley Cup to celebrate with a parade.

Dallas Mavericks fans celebrated their franchise's first ever NBA Title with a parade through the city of Dallas on Thursday. Prior to the parade, the crowds were expected to be on the order of 250,000, though it was difficult for officials to estimate the actual number.

Boston Bruins Win 1st Stanley Cup Since 1972

After 39 years without a championship, the Bruins ripped the Cup - and several thousand hearts - out of a Canadian city that has waited four decades itself for one sip.

Tim Thomas made 37 saves in the second shutout of his landmark finals performance, Patrice Bergeron and rookie Brad Marchand scored two goals apiece, and the Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 Wednesday night for their first championship since 1972.
