What’s a runner to do when you get a Florida forecast like this? Go running and hydrate lots of course! 😉 Whoever designed Nathan Benderson Park really knew what they were doing or was just lucky… This morning’s run was super delightful with the wind blowing strong from the east. The sidewalk now extends from the lake all the way over to Mount Marine with incredible music from pods placed strategically along the sidewalk and under the bridge for a mile.

This is really my core message.
I run every day like it could be my last.

At 73, that mindset is what keeps me strong, independent, and hopefully out of a nursing home.

Hospital stay last week? What hospital stay? If running is an addiction, so be it. If absence makes the heart grow fonder, I’m there. As the expression goes, I had fresh muscles from almost 2 months of not running and was happy to finish second in my age group making it the 348th 5K or longer race I’ve placed in since 2006 “just“ on plants. 😉 Pretty sure my lack of pain and quick recovery is due to an anti inflammatory diet.

Thanks to all the volunteers and runners at the Bridge a life Superhero5k at beautiful Nathan Benderson Park. Great to see so many running friends! If I missed anyone, please tag!
