Yesterday I was so happy to celebrate closing day with a repeat client. It's an amazing compliment when someone trusts you with another move!

But here’s the part of real estate that doesn’t make it into the pretty “CLOSED!” posts…not every transaction is a smooth one.

Sometimes you’re spending HOURS researching repairs, tracking down answers and meeting contractors to review all the details. Sometimes, you're a mediator, an advocate, a contract law researcher and at times just a sounding board for frustrations.

Before the sign even went in the yard, time was spent getting bids and choosing the right new flooring, picking paint colors, making updates, and even making sure all the light bulbs matched before the listing went live. Because sometimes it really is about the little things! The result...under contract after 2 days of showings!

A Realtor's job isn’t just to put a sign in the yard and do social media marketing. It’s to advocate, negotiate, research, problem-solve and work to keep the transaction moving forward when things get complicated.

And yesterday, all those hours and work came together with a successful closing. Again, so grateful for repeat clients who trusted me to be in their corner, even when the road to the closing table wasn't exactly smooth.

So happy for my wonderful sellers and being able to celebrate their successful closing this week!

Every transaction has a story, and this one definitely had a few unexpected plot twists. One may think with multiple offers it should be a little easier for a seller but sometimes a buyer tries to re-write a chapter or two! There were moments that required a little extra patience, persistence, and problem-solving from everyone involved.

My sellers stayed focused on their goal, navigated the bumps in the road, and this week finished the story with a happy ending!
