This might stir the pot, but women initiate most divorces because they're often the ones who handle the paperwork—just like they've traditionally handled the school forms, permission slips, doctor's appointments, tax documents, and countless other responsibilities.
Filing the paperwork doesn't always mean they gave up first. Sometimes it simply means they're the one who finally completed the last task after years of carrying the mental and emotional load.
Many divorces don't begin when the papers are filed. They begin long before that—with unresolved issues, neglect, lack of communication, lack of appreciation, or a partner who stopped showing up.
The signature may end the marriage, but the reasons usually started long before the paperwork ever did. 💯❤️

Raising children is one of the biggest investments you'll ever make—and the only one with no guaranteed return.

Too many parents spend their entire lives sacrificing their financial future expecting their children to take care of them one day. But the truth is, your children don't owe you a retirement plan. They owe you respect, but not repayment.

Your responsibility is to give them a good upbringing, emotional stability, strong values, discipline, life skills, and the tools to become independent adults. Help them reach their educational goals, but don't sacrifice your entire future in the process.

Have children responsibly and in proportion to your household income. Plan for their future, but also plan for your own. Don't neglect retirement because you're raising children. One day those children will build lives of their own, and you will still need financial security.
At the end of the day, you will reap what you sow. The greatest return on investment isn't money—it's raising responsible, capable, and grateful human beings.

As the Yoruba say, children are a reflection of what you poured into them. The values, character, and example you give today will often be returned to you tomorrow. 💯❤️
