How beautiful it is to do nothing… and then let someone melt the rest of the tension away.

Peter, of Stella & Peter Massage here in Rincón, comes to Ceiba Tree Inn — so you don't have to go anywhere. Take your massage on the pergola, breeze moving through and the view wide open, or in the quiet of your own casita. Your call.

Our guests get a friends-and-family rate. As Peter puts it, "it's always better to invest in prevention than in fixing."

The gardens, the quiet, the glimpse of sea down the hill. We could describe Casita 2 at Ceiba Tree Inn but we'd rather let our guests do it.

A Guest Favorite, in their own words. Thank you to everyone who's spent a few slow days here and shared a kind one on the way out. The door's open when you're ready to visit our corner of paradise.

There are no stoplights in Rincón. You let people turn left. They let you. Somehow it all works. You slow down here whether you meant to or not.

When our family started spending real time in Rincón, we assumed the boys would take up surfing. All three of them took up spearfishing instead — out in the Caribbean every chance they get. We never complain when they bring home dinner.

If you've ever wanted to try it, gives lessons — and took this photo of one very good day on the water.

4.83, and a note that says it simply: "A great spot in a perfect location — everything we needed." Thank you, Benjamin, and everyone who's spent a few slow days here. Come see for yourself.

The lights stay on here.

The island has its moments — but Ceiba Tree Inn runs on backup generators and an 8,000-gallon cistern. So when the power flickers or the water hiccups (now and then, it does), you'll likely never notice.

Coffee still hot, shower still warm, casita still glowing.

A few things people don't realize about Puerto Rico: you don't need a passport, you won't change a dollar, and you can drink the water straight from the tap. It's US soil — same currency, same phone plan, and English is everywhere in Rincón.

Easier to get here than you'd guess. Harder to leave.

"Our new favorite stay in Rincón."

Thank you, Colette — and to everyone who's helped make Casita 2 a Guest Favorite. The gardens are ready when you are.

Rincón means "corner." Stand on ours and there are two seas — the Atlantic to the north for surf, the Caribbean to the south for swimming, ten minutes apart. Rincon is right at the point.

Yes. You can pick the fruit.

The mangos are coming in over the pergola right now. There are coconuts too, and papayas, and avocados somewhere in all that green. Pineapples and star fruit are on the way.

It's a garden. Help yourself.
