Many agents focus on being seen everywhere.

Cold calling.
Letterbox drops.
Door knocking.
Bin advertising.
Billboards.
Just Listed and Just Sold campaigns.

There is nothing wrong with that. Visibility is important.

But my goal has never been to be just another agent among the many agents in my suburb.

I want to be the agent people trust.

In fact, many of my listings don't even have signboards.

Not because I don't believe in marketing, but because much of my business comes from referrals, repeat clients, and relationships built over time.

The difference between me and many others is that I'm not simply chasing listings. I won't compromise quality for quantity.

Real estate is a relationship business.

Every conversation matters.
Every family matters.
Every decision matters.

Many people who come to me may never list their property with me or buy through me. Yet they continue to refer their family, friends, and colleagues.

Why?

Because I believe in helping people make informed decisions, whether that benefits me immediately or not.

While I represent and negotiate on behalf of my sellers, I also care about my buyers.

I take the time to answer questions.
Provide honest information.
And guide them through the process.

This is why I strongly believe it's equally important to look after your buyers as your sellers.

Today's buyer is often tomorrow's seller.

Even when a buyer doesn't purchase through me, they remember the experience. The house may not have been right for them, or the price may not have suited their budget, but they appreciate being treated with honesty, respect, and professionalism.

At the end of the day, people may forget what property they inspected, but they rarely forget how they were treated.

Trust is not built through the number of signs you put up.

Trust is built through the people you help, the relationships you nurture, and the reputation you leave behind.

That's the kind of agent I strive to be every day.

📢 RBA Cash Rate Remains on Hold

The Reserve Bank of Australia has decided to keep the cash rate unchanged, providing some welcome stability for homeowners, buyers, and investors.

While many Australians continue to navigate cost-of-living pressures, holding rates steady gives households and businesses greater certainty when planning their finances.

For the property market, stable interest rates often help boost confidence:
🏡 Buyers can better assess their borrowing capacity.
🏡 Homeowners gain some relief from further mortgage increases.
🏡 Investors can make decisions with greater certainty.

That said, property decisions should never be based solely on interest rates. Factors such as your personal circumstances, long-term goals, location, supply and demand, and market conditions all play an important role.

As a local real estate agent, I find that many homeowners are curious about how interest rates impact the value of their property and the local market.

My 1-Year Reflection in Real Estate

One year ago, I stepped into real estate with a simple goal.

While many new agents were focused on chasing listings, my priority was different. I wanted to learn from experienced agents, build genuine relationships, and understand the values and habits that create long-term success.

In my very first week in June 2025, I was fortunate to conjunction a listing with Roy Li in Willetton while securing my own listing in Gosnells. Later that year, when I joined John & Dahlia Rechichi's team, I was given another opportunity to conjunction a listing in Canning Vale while securing my own listing in Cannington.

Looking back, these opportunities were not just about selling property. They were about learning from people who had already walked the path before me.

Interestingly, I only completed 2–3 conjunctions with each of my bosses. Since then, I have sold and managed more than 12 listings of my own. Yet those early months taught me lessons that continue to shape my approach today.

I learned the importance of:

• Strong work ethic and consistency
• Professionalism and integrity
• Effective communication with vendors and buyers
• Staying calm during challenging negotiations
• Building trust and long-term relationships
• Putting people before transactions

Both Roy and Dahlia have different personalities, strengths, and ways of doing business. Observing their approaches helped me understand that there is no single formula for success. The key is to learn from others and develop a style that aligns with your own values and personality.

Over the past 12 months, I have learned that real estate is not just about listings, commissions, or sales numbers. It is a people business built on trust, relationships, and service.

As I reflect on my first year, I am grateful for every client who trusted me, every colleague who shared their knowledge, every mentor who invested their time, and every challenge that helped me grow.

The journey has only just begun, and I look forward to continuing to learn, serve, and build meaningful connections in the years ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my first year in real estate.

Started the day with coffee and a catch-up with a fellow professional. We had some great discussions about the property market, sales techniques, and vendor expectations.

🏡 From there, it was on to a property appraisal, followed by lunch with another client.

One of the things I love most about real estate is the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. Every conversation is a chance to learn something new, build relationships, and expand my network.

No two days are ever the same, and that's what makes this profession so rewarding.
