Hensley Plaza in Downtown Jasper to Begin Exterior Improvements

Terry Commercial Realty, LLC (TCR), a local real estate development company based in Jasper, Georgia, is excited to announce the start of exterior improvements at Hensley Plaza, located in the heart of downtown Jasper.

The scope of work includes the creation of a small courtyard area that a future tenant can use for pop-up events, music, food trucks, outdoor games, seating, and community gatherings. The space is designed to be flexible and inviting—a place for people to spend time, connect, and enjoy downtown Jasper. The project is anticipated to take approximately 2–3 months and will also include streetscape improvements and new lighting to help create a safer and more welcoming environment.

Dave Terry, founder of TCR, shared his excitement about the project, noting the opportunity it creates for both tenants and the broader community.

“We’re excited about the flexibility these improvements will offer a future tenant, while also enhancing an underutilized area just behind Main Street,” Terry said. “This project strongly aligns with our values of paying it forward and giving back to the community. Hensley Plaza has a meaningful history—it once served as Jasper’s City Hall and Jail—and we see this as an opportunity to preserve that legacy while creating a vibrant, active place for people to gather.”

Terry added that the infill lot had previously not been usable for even parking before, and the improvements allow it to become a functional and engaging space that contributes to downtown Jasper’s momentum.

The Wall Street Barber, which moved into the end-cap space at Hensley Plaza in March of this year, will remain open during construction. The exterior improvements are not expected to impact their normal operating hours.

There is currently a 2,500-square-foot space available for lease directly adjacent to the future courtyard. The space offers excellent visibility along Highway 53 and access to additional parking across the street.
