Ceres – As part of the ongoing Ceres’ly Clean, Ceres’ly Green campaign, the community of Ceres officially launches the Adopt-a-Spot initiative today, 22 April 2026 (Earth Day).
Now in its second year, the campaign continues to promote community pride by encouraging residents, businesses, schools, and organisations to take shared responsibility for keeping Ceres clean, green, and welcoming.
The Adopt-a-Spot initiative invites community members to take ownership of a specific area — such as a street, park, open space, or riverbank — and commit to keeping it clean and well maintained on a regular basis.
The concept is simple: if each person takes responsibility for a small space, together we create a big impact across the entire community.
On Earth Day, residents are encouraged to clean their immediate surroundings, get involved in community efforts, and take the first step in adopting a space.
Community members can participate by:
✔ Cleaning their immediate surroundings
✔ Registering to adopt a spot
✔ Encouraging friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues to get involved
The initiative also supports broader environmental awareness, including recycling and responsible waste management, and works alongside local stakeholders to strengthen community impact.
Residents are encouraged to follow Ceres’ly Clean, Ceres’ly Green on Facebook for updates, information, and ways to get involved.
