The companies knocking on your door, with a ladder in their truck, theyโre there with an iPad to sell you a product. Most are professionals at chasing storms. Chasing money. They won't be here when you need service in the future
But a piece of paper with a number on it isnโt what you need. You need a contractor you can trust and count on in the future.
Instead of an ESTIMATE, you want to INTERVIEW a contractor.
Questions to ask when interviewing contractors:
โWhere is your physical office located?
โHow many years have you been in business?
โWhatโs your labor warranty? Ours is 10 years๐
โWhat credentials do you have with manufacturers?
โDo you have workers comp insurance and general liability, that you can provide, that covers everyone that will be on the property during the project?
Itโs not as much about the cost of the job, itโs the company you work with. A high-caliber contractor will work with your insurance company to get the job done right while navigating the terms of your insurance coverage.
Because itโs more than a number on a quote, itโs about a contractor who can meet your needs when you need them.
Because weโll be here long after the guys with the iPads and flyers are gone.
