Just over a year ago, my life, and the lives of those around me, changed forever in an instant. There is nothing that could have prepared me for the arduous journey that has brought me to this point. Standing here today, I’m focused on the future—embracing what I love and cherishing the friends and family who carried me physically and emotionally.

The story, written by my good friend , is now live on ‘s blog, (link in bio). It dives into how gratitude, presence, and my family/community have helped me fight my way back to life—and back to the mountains. (Yep, these photos by were taken at just a year and one day after the incident!)

Recovery took more than a village—it took unwavering hope. I couldn’t have done it without the strength of my wife, and our two brave daughters.

By sharing this story, I hope to inspire anyone facing their own uphill battle. While I can’t name every person who helped me along the way, I know that the cumulative effect of every act, thought, and intention made the difference. There are a few incredible people and facilities that I want to call out:

Been a little quiet as of late. I often let my high standards for myself and the content I put out there get in my way of posting but in retrospect, it was a little hard to come up for air this winter 😂… Still in awe of how much snow fell here in . I’ve been doing a little reflecting on our winter and thinking back on a day when I made it up for some early morning sunlit , got to shoot some pics , test the new with some friends and even ended up chatting offer strategy with a client on the chairlift - who ended up buying the exact property we talked about! He was just grinning ear to ear as he got lap after lap of face shots and looked up at me and said, “I’m going to buy a house today.”

Days like that… 🚀🚀🚀

Can’t express the magnitude of positive energy circulating through the mountains after this insane storm cycle via an caption but I think these visuals tell the story pretty well tho. My heart rate is up just reviewing these shots from but the coolest part is the endorphins still splashing off of every shred head in our community that’s just got us all still buzzing with joy. To hear locals like say he thought he’d never ski a December as good as 1982 again and grinning ear to ear say “this is a real ,” is pretty monumental. The closest memories I can personally recall of a December like this is 2004 when I first moved to and was choking on pow every day trying keep up with guys like Collins brothers, and around. …

, staying at your fine establishment so I could be first in line at on Monday just brought be straight back to my 20s. Thanks for keeping me young.

I think I better boot up and go shred some laps.

Here is a classic outtake from our two day shoot with & at last Feb. Fully thought I had this air in the bag after coaching Kai into the scratchy, tree-riddled take off. I watched him wiggle a bit in the air and proceed to the p**s out of it. Well, this is what it looks like when the old dawg tries keep up with the young blood and go for the stick on a flat landing in the hard pack. At least I skied out eh?
