Lately I have been receiving a lot of backlash from "potential buyers" comparing Hello Realty to other agents in terms of verification processes for viewing. How other agents work is of no concern of my own. Their methods and their ways are THEIRS and I respect the way they operate - however this is how Hello Realty operates and I do not take any exception for my Sellers safety or the safety of my own, or that of my colleagues. I can assure you that if you are meeting with the Seller, I have met with the Seller and they are aware of the Hello Realty process and have agreed and signed a mandate to that effect.
"Other agents don't even ask me my Surname...." Well good for you then - if that agent has the time and the petrol to take you to various viewings at the risk of their own safety and waste costs without even knowing your Surname or your affordability or credit score then that is their prerogative. Besides pre-approvals are for FREE and they show how actually serious you are to purchase property.
Kindly understand that if you are not willing to give me your details I will not book a viewing for you - verifying your details ensures that the safety of all parties involved. I have NEVER had a serious buyer not give me their details to book a viewing before. I also do not provide your identity number to the Seller, however encrypted details are provided for viewing purposes. And yes, if Sellers confirm that no viewing is allowed without me having seen a pre-approval certificate, then I respect that request from them. It is after all their home and their biggest asset in certain circumstances. I would rather lose a sale than compromise on the verification process.
