This is the longest it’s ever taken me to sell a house…50 days on the market 😳!!! And honestly? It’s the one I’m most proud of yet. Here’s why..
Because the mark of a great agent isn’t how fast a house sells. It’s what they do when it doesn’t.
Anyone can look good when a home flies off the market in a day or two. But what happens when it doesn’t get the showings, sits for weeks, and momentum fades?
Do they wait and hope, or get to work?
This listing tested me in the best way. And during those 50 days, I wasn’t just sitting back. I was relentless in finding creative ways to get it sold.
- I hosted open houses almost every weekend because even a few visitors were better than none!
- I pulled in other listings in the neighborhood and coordinated a joint mega open house to boost traffic
- I hosted a broker open with free headshots as an incentive and had over 30 guests show up
- I made customizable ads with QR codes so other agents could share the listing with their own branding
- Every time we had a change—price update, open house, anything—I personally contacted 200+ agents via calls and texts
- I shared it on every social media platform I’m on, ran paid ads, and stayed visible the entire time
And finally, the buyer came through an agent I had called while reverse prospecting. I had personally invited them to see the house.
I then prepped BIG TIME for their showing by leaving:
A welcome gift with some homey touches like a scrub daddy, my favorite multipurpose cleaner, chocolates, and a candle and a heartfelt letter about life in the neighborhood
Because I wasn’t just selling a house. I was helping someone imagine coming home!! 💕🏡
They wrote an offer the next day. We just closed.
This is the kind of hustle, creativity, and heart I bring TO. EVERY. LISTING, especially when it’s not easy!
Because every home deserves a sold sign.
And every seller deserves an agent who won’t stop until they get it.
