🌿 The Meaning of Passover in April
Passover (also called Pesach) is a very important biblical celebration that usually falls in March or April.
✡️ What is Passover?
Passover remembers when God delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, as told in the book of Exodus.
God instructed His people to:
Put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts
Stay inside their homes
When the final plague came, the angel of death would “pass over” those homes—
sparing them and bringing protection.
👉 This is where the name Passover comes from.
✝️ The Deeper Meaning (Connection to Jesus)
For Christians, Passover has a powerful connection to Jesus.
The lamb in Passover represents Jesus, the Lamb of God
Just as the blood of the lamb brought protection,
👉 Jesus’ blood brings salvation and forgiveness
Jesus was crucified around the time of Passover, which is why it often falls in April, close to Easter.
✨ What it means for us:
Freedom – From sin and bo***ge
Protection – Covered by His grace
New Life – Through His resurrection
🌸 Simple Meaning
👉 Passover = Deliverance + Protection + New Beginning
📖 Bible Verse
“Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” – 1 Corinthians 5:7
💛 A Beautiful Thought for April
Just like God brought His people out of Egypt…
He still brings us out of difficult seasons today.
April reminds us:
God sees us
God covers us
God delivers us
