Born in the then, small town of Upington, I went to school and University in Port Elizabeth, but spent all my school holidays in the rural farming community in the Middelburg District. I got married to a fabulously supportive husband and have 3 lov
ely children, all grown up and on the brink of starting their own lives. For a good 10 years my husband and I had our own company, and this gave me the opportunity to get involved in sales. What a blessing to be able to have done just that, as it not only shaped our tomorrow but was a learning environment of note that gave us ample to support our family. Working and living on the farm in rural Eastern Cape had its own challenges, but this in hindsight, created unbelievable memories and mental strength to persevere through very tough times. This created an aptitude for perseverance and success. Taught me to think out the box for solutions and that everything is not always what it seems, nor is everything always difficult, you must see the positive in things to be able to appreciate the diversity thereof. I am a professional property consultant with excellent work ethic at Open Realty. My background since childhood has been shaped by building houses in bushes, mud tunnels etc, growing up in a farming area during each school holiday. What I realized most, is with age these designs and level of sophistication and needs changed, and it is so very true even in today’s lifestyle choices for many individuals. Design and being hands on in the creation of my very own farmhouse, the needs were specific, and the practicality was for the needs of my family at that time.
