Following last week’s severe weather, we’re grateful to share that the floodwaters have now subsided and access to Brackenridge Estate has been restored. While flooding impacted areas along Piesang Valley Road, the golf course, and the back gate of the estate, our teams monitored conditions and assisted where needed.

The section of road in front of the estate is currently gravel and remains open to traffic. We simply ask motorists to exercise caution and reduce their speed when travelling through the area.

To our residents, staff, contractors, and the wider Plettenberg Bay community, thank you once again for your patience, support, and understanding throughout these challenging conditions. The way our community comes together during times like these is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Storms may test us, but they also remind us of the strength of a community that stands together. 💚

The past few days have been incredibly challenging for our town and our community. While the storms resulted in over 120 fallen trees and a few small landslides, we are incredibly grateful that the estate did not suffer more severe damage, a testament to the ongoing maintenance, care, and preparation that goes into protecting this special place.

Our teams have been working around the clock in difficult cold-weather conditions to restore the estate, and we couldn’t be prouder of how Brackenridge has held up through it all.

Thank you to our residents, staff, and wider community for the patience, support, and kindness shown during this time. 💚

The completed back gate at Brackenridge Estate has already proven to be more than just infrastructure, it’s a seamless extension of how this estate cares for its people.

Through the busy December 2025 season, every detail was considered. Essential services ran without interruption, thanks to thoughtful planning and proactive preparation. Residents and holidaymakers were able to fully settle into the rhythm of the estate; calm, secure, uninterrupted.

The new gate eased traffic flow, reduced pressure on the main entrance, improved emergency access, and added a level of convenience that didn’t go unnoticed. The feedback has been clear: this is a meaningful upgrade to daily living.
