SPIDER LILY PROPERTIES APPROVED
“A haircut shouldn’t require a risk assessment.”
Swipe through this carousel and you’ll see why this message matters.
Slide 1: This starts with something ordinary: a haircut.
But for many People of Determination, elders, parents with strollers, and anyone recovering from injury—ordinary errands aren’t “quick stops.” They’re calculated risks.
Slide 2: This isn’t about a haircut. It’s about the invisible barrier that turns simple errands into unnecessary danger.
When access is missing, everyday life becomes a series of decisions:
Can I enter? Can I turn around? Can I move safely? If I fall, who pays the price?
Slide 3: I went for a haircut. I found a barrier:
steps, glass storefronts, tight layouts, no turning space, and even a barber chair that can spin if you grab it for balance.
That last part matters—because when you’re transferring, balance isn’t optional. It’s safety.
A haircut shouldn’t require strength, luck, or risk.
Slide 4: Access isn’t a “nice-to-have.” It’s three things at once:
SAFETY: steps + glass + tight layouts = preventable falls
DIGNITY: no one should need help just to enter and sit down
BUSINESS: if people can’t enter… they can’t buy.
This is exactly why Spider Lily Properties Approved exists: to make access visible, measurable, and normal—so people don’t have to guess, and businesses don’t have to guess either.
Slide 5 (Business Owners): The good news is most upgrades aren’t expensive. They’re just not prioritized.
Start with the big 3:
Step-free entry (or ramp + handrail)
Turning space (wheelchair / stroller)
Clear pathways (no obstacles)
This isn’t charity. It’s customers, safety, and reputation.
Slide 6 (Developers): Inclusive design is future-proofing.
The market is aging. Families plan long-term. Accessibility adds value and reduces risk.
Step-free routes, real turning space, usable door widths, sensible lift placement, accessible washrooms, non-slip surfaces and handrails—these aren’t “special features.” They’re what real life requires.
Slide 7: Let’s make ACCESS the standard—together.
Here’s the action plan:
NOMINATE a business that’s doing it right (name + location)
FIX one barrier this month (start with the entrance)
JOIN the pilot if you’re a developer, operator, or decision-maker
Comments only (no DMs):
Comment “ACCESS” and I’ll share the starter checklist.
And comment a business/location you want reviewed.
Because the truth is simple:
If people can’t enter… they can’t buy.
