It was such a privilege to spend time with the junior and senior classes at a Christian School for Black History Month! 🇬🇭🇨🇦🇯🇲
​We took a deep dive into the roots and routes of Black history—tracing the journey from the African continent to the global diaspora in Canada, the US, South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. 🌍
​I challenged the students with the legacies of two incredible men:
1️⃣ Dr. Kwame Nkrumah: The visionary who led Ghana to independence and championed Pan-Africanism. He showed us that "the independence of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the African continent."
2️⃣ Dr. Ben Carson: A pioneer in neurosurgery whose story of perseverance and "Thinking Big" proves that our potential is limitless when we apply our God-given talents.
​Seeing the engagement from these young Black Canadians was the highlight of my week. The future is bright! ✨
