On Thursday, Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey promoted an event called "The B Word," which will aim to encourage companies and institutional investors to adopt bitcoin, according to its website. The event is scheduled to take place on July 21, with speakers including Dorsey and ARK Invest's Cathie Wood.

In response to Dorsey's tweet of the event, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk responded and seemingly agreed to chat with Dorsey about bitcoin at the event.

The FHA will change student loan calculations to factor a student loan borrower's actual monthly payment. The agency had previously assumed the borrower's monthly payment would equal 1% of their total debt. This new policy is designed to make securing a mortgage easier for student loan borrowers, an increasing group of young Americans. Student loan debt has ballooned to $1.7 trillion nationwide. The policy change may seem minute but can have a significant impact for a potential home buyer. According to Forbes, "A federal student loan borrower with a $100,000 outstanding balance, an income of $60,000 per year, and a family size of 3 may only have a monthly payment of $245 per month under approved income-driven repayment plans. But an FSA-backed mortgage lender may “assume” that the borrower actually has a payment of $1,000 per month due to the FHA’s longstanding underwriting rules that apply 1% of the outstanding balance.

The change is effective for all cases assigned after August 16, 2021.

650 U.S. banks will soon be able to offer bitcoin purchases to an estimated 24 million total customers. As part of the deal, between enterprise payments giant NCR and digital asset management firm NYDIG, community banks including North Carolina-based First Citizens Bank and credit unions including Bay Federal Credit Union in California will be able to offer their clients cryptocurrency trading through mobile applications built by the payments provider.
