🏠Abu Dhabi has announced a temporary rent freeze across the emirate, bringing relief to tenants and businesses alike.
Under the new measure by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), all residential, commercial, and industrial tenancy contract renewals will be processed with a 0% rent increase. The rule also applies to new leases for previously rented properties, which must be offered at the same rental value as the last registered contract.
The decision was announced by Abu Dhabi’s Real Estate Centre and applies across the city. The freeze is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
For tenants, it means greater financial certainty. For businesses, it offers temporary cost stability in an evolving economic environment.
📍 The measure applies only to Abu Dhabi and does not currently extend to Dubai.
