The Central Bank of UAE instructed banks to stop financing the mandatory 4% Dubai Land Department (DLD) fee and the 2% brokerage fee as of February 1, 2025.

This 6% increase in the cost of ready properties might cool down the pace of ready property transactions but it could energize other segments of the market, such as off-plan properties and rentals, creating a more dynamic real estate ecosystem in Dubai and attract far more long-term investors in 2025.
