Dubai is set to introduce a new “smart medical visa” for patients travelling to the emirate for treatment. 🏥

The initiative, developed in partnership between the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs and the Dubai Health Authority, aims to better integrate visa, residency and healthcare services. 👩🏾‍⚕️

Officials say the move will create a more seamless system for international patients and support Dubai’s position as a global hub for medical tourism. 🩺

Currently, medical visas in the UAE allow stays of up to 90 or 180 days, with options to extend depending on treatment needs.

Global Village will celebrate Eid Al Adha for the first time in 13 years during its 30th season.

The Dubai attraction, which typically closes before summer, has not previously aligned with the Islamic holiday since season 18. In 2026, the extended Eid weekend coincides with the park’s final days, before it closes on May 31.

Special programming will include live entertainment such as the Al Mandoos game show on May 27 and 28.

Visitors can also explore cultural pavilions representing over 90 countries, featuring traditional Eid fashion, gifts, food products, and handcrafted items.
