Use a simple scale:

Goal: Catch emotions at level 3–4 before they escalate.
3. Catch emotions before they escalate
Tactical Breathing:
Inhale for 4 seconds
Hold for 4 seconds
Exhale for 4 seconds
Hold for 4 seconds
Repeat for 2 minutes.
