Arada and ALDAR have sealed a landmark AED15 billion strategic partnership, unlocking major development opportunities on Yas Island and at Seih Sdeirah, Abu Dhabi. This marks Arada's first development presence in Abu Dhabi, and the first phase of a partnership set to grow across sectors and geographies in the UAE.

Arada has entered into a landmark AED15 billion strategic partnership with Aldar, marking our first development presence in Abu Dhabi.

The partnership comprises two major opportunities, the first of which is a joint venture with Aldar to co-develop a large-scale villa and townhouse community covering up to 1.5 million square metres at Seih Sdeirah on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border. Arada will lead development and construction management, with both companies jointly branding and selling the community.

The second is our acquisition of three strategically located residential plots on Yas Island - including two canal-facing sites - with a combined gross floor area of almost 130,000 square metres, where we will develop premium residential communities bringing Arada's signature approach to Abu Dhabi for the first time.

Arada has submitted a series of planning applications to the London Borough of Newham to advance the delivery of Thameside West, a AED12 billion GDV site with the potential to deliver at least 5,000 homes. At over 47 acres, this is one of London’s largest and most ambitious regeneration projects.
Plans for the first phase show buildings organised around a network of streets, gardens, parks and shared spaces, with cafes and restaurants on the ground floor. This stage comprises nearly 1,500 new homes across six buildings, the first two of which will now be 100% social rent and will include three and four bedroom family homes.
At the heart of the proposals will be a new seven-acre park, alongside around 1,000 new trees, creating a greener, more biodiverse environment for residents and the wider community. The park will include dedicated play spaces including adventure-filled woodland areas, play trails and play-on-the-way spaces. https://tinyurl.com/449xe9yw

The Arada London team were joined by Clarion Housing Group to celebrate the topping out of 100 Chalk Farm Road, Camden, marking the building reaching its full height and bringing the project one step closer to delivering 30 new social rent homes.

The project forms part of the wider partnership with Clarion, through which three Arada London schemes,100 Chalk Farm Road, 100 Avenue Road and Jamestown Road, will deliver 136 new social rent homes across Camden. Built by Arada’s in-house construction arm, the homes have been designed to meet Clarion’s social rent quality standards and will be managed by Clarion on completion.

HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, Executive Vice Chairman of Arada was in attendance to mark the occasion, alongside colleagues from Arada London, Clarion Housing Group and Camden Council.

As London continues to face significant pressure on affordable housing supply, partnerships that bring together the ability to deliver at pace with long-term stewardship are increasingly important.

The partnership is an important part of Arada London’s commitment to delivering high-quality, genuinely affordable homes across the capital.
