There are a few true hidden gems in Europe - and Albania is one of them, Closed to outsiders for almost half a century, Albania opened their doors to the world in the nineties after overthrowing a brutal Communist regime. Since then, the country's extraordinary treasures have slowly been revealed to a stream of curious travellers... Perched on the Balkan Peninsula on the Mediterranean coastline, Albania is filled with enchanting mountains and lakes, not to mention the postcard-worthy beaches that rival any in Europe. There's also the ancient Greek and Roman ruins, fortress towns, crumbling castles, Ottoman architecture and the lively capital city Tirana to explore. If that's not enough, there's also delicious Albanian food, wine and the famously friendly locals. Just do it! Add it to that travel bucket list.

It is a popular destination among tourists, especially during the summer months when visitors can enjoy the warm Mediterranean climate and the stunning scenery.

Golem Promenade
When in Golem, just go to the direction of the beach, and before reaching the beach you will always stumble on the promenade. A fantastic promenade, which spans several kilometers, and across which you will be passing by great sea atmosphere, fantastic sand and gorgeous pine trees.

Dear tourists visiting Albania for the first time!

● It's a safe country.

● Ask for help and you will be taken care off.

● Enjoy Albanian food and all activities going especially from April to October it's the most beautiful time.

● If you want to avoid crowd time , avoid going month of August (because all Albanians living in Greece and Italy visit Albania during August).

● Visit the historical and cultural sites.

● The most highly recommended cities :
Tirana, Durres, Golem, Berat, Vlore, Saranda , Gjirokaster, Kruje, Theth, Shkoder, Korce, Tepelenë, these are A MUST. The rest if you have time of course. Even though you will stop in some more while you are driving!

Albania is a good holiday destination and has lots of things to do to keep you entertained. Albania also has great food, friendly locals and is great value for money.
The Albanian people are known for their

the locals and find the country to be very
