Attending the Fiscal Peace Seminar | Tirana Chamber of Commerce & Industry
Today I attended an informative seminar organized by the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Taxation, focused on the implementation of the law on the cancellation, extinction, and settlement of tax liabilities — commonly known as the “Fiscal Peace” law.
The session brought together business representatives and taxpaying entities for a direct exchange with tax administration experts on the practical application of this legislation.
Key topics covered included:
• Unpaid tax liabilities across relevant periods
• Opportunities to benefit from the full or partial cancellation of obligations
• Reduction of fines and late-payment interest
• Application procedures and eligibility criteria
The GDT representatives delivered a clear, structured presentation and addressed specific questions from participants — offering valuable clarification on how to navigate the process in practice.
