Alles Walzer!
Wien präsentiert sich im Februar ganz im Zeichen der Tradition und lässt mit den zahlreichen Wiener Bällen an die Glanzzeiten des Wiener Kongresses vor mittlerweile genau 200 Jahren erinnern. Walzer und Dreivierteltakt sowie die Kompositionen von Johann Strauß und Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart verleihen der Faschingszeit eine ganz besondere Note und locken jährlich hunderte Tanzbegeisterte aus aller Welt nach Wien. Höhepunkt der Ballsaison ist der Wiener Opernball, welcher am 12. Februar zu Walzer und Quadrille in das Opernhaus am Ring einlädt. Neben den traditionellen Wiener Bällen gibt es auch zahlreiche schrille und ausgelassene Veranstaltungen wie etwa der Rosenball (12. Februar) oder Wiener Technoball (28. Februar) im Kursalon Wien. Let the waltz begin!
In February, the whole city of Vienna is given over to the waltz and old traditions and reminds all of its visitors of the high periods during the Congress of Vienna 200 years ago. Waltz and three-four time as well as the famous compositions of Johann Strauß and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart give the Viennese carnival time a special touch and lure hundreds of ball lovers to Vienna every year. Highlight of the ball season is the famous Vienna Opera Ball (Feb. 12th) at the State Opera right in the first district of Vienna. Besides all traditional Viennese balls, the city offers shrill and fancy balls like the hip Rose Ball (Feb. 12th) or the Techno Ball (Feb 28th) at Kursalon Wien.
