You don’t have to do it all alone.

Too many business owners and property managers spend their days overwhelmed, constantly putting out fires, and carrying the pressure of the entire business on their own.

But sustainable growth doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from having the right systems, support, processes, and people around you.

Because when the right structure is in place, everything changes:
✔ Communication improves
✔ Efficiency increases
✔ Stress reduces
✔ Profitability grows

Strong businesses aren’t built in isolation.

They’re built with guidance, strategy, and support.

Let’s build a stronger, more profitable property management business.

Clearly I'm not a photographer....but aside from the shocking photo, I just got off the monthly wellness webinar hosted by Kylie Davis of the Rise Initiative and it was great.

A nice way to refresh, something I always forget to do is breathe, I love my daily gratitude journal and the Vagus Nerve and knowing I have a couple of things down pat, but realising there are still things like breathing and drinking water I have to master.

So good to have something to support mental health in our industry. If you haven't already downloaded the Real Care app I've popped a link in the comments.

A day in the life of running a property management business isn’t always glamorous… but it is purposeful.

From morning meetings and problem-solving to constant work in progress behind the scenes, every part of the day plays a role in building a stronger, more sustainable business.

And yes… sometimes the most productive thing you can do is step away for 10 minutes and reset.

Because sustainable performance isn’t built on burnout.
It’s built on clarity, consistency, and small improvements made every day.

What does your daily routine look like?
Share it in the comments.

If you’re a landlord or business owner, the right property manager can make a significant difference, not just to your returns, but to your overall experience.

But it’s not just about skills.
It’s about attitude, communication and accountability.

Great property managers don’t take things personally.
They stay objective, follow processes and focus on solutions.
They also understand that while skills can be taught, attitude can’t.

The right person will fit the business culture, care about the people they work with, and communicate effectively, including knowing when to pick up the phone rather than rely on email.

Strong property managers can manage difficult conversations early, before issues escalate into bigger problems.

Here’s what else to look for:
✔ Proactive communication
✔ Strong systems and processes
✔ Understanding legislation and risk
✔ Relationship-focused mindset
✔ Accountability and follow-through
✔ Focus on long-term value

Because successful property management isn’t just about compliance and systems.
It’s about people, communication and protecting the value of the investment.

At the end of the day, a great property manager doesn’t just manage — they add value.

If your property management team needs support with training, systems or operational efficiency, let’s have a conversation.

Most trust account issues don’t start with major fraud or intentional wrongdoing.

They start with small process failures that build over time.

A missed step.
An incorrect allocation.
A delayed receipt.
A team member who was never properly trained.

The problem is… many agencies don’t identify the risk until audit time.

Trust accounting isn’t just an administration task.
It’s a business risk, a compliance risk and a reputation risk.

The agencies that stay protected are the ones with clear systems, consistent procedures and teams that understand exactly what’s required.

These are some of the key areas we’ll be covering in our May 28 workshop.

Hiring someone new to the industry should create future capacity — not more pressure.

But too often, agencies hire simply because they desperately need another PM without considering the support, structure and training required for that person to succeed.

The result?

Senior team members end up carrying the load through constant questions, fixing mistakes and redoing work — which creates even more pressure across the business.

The issue usually isn’t the person.

It’s the lack of systems, onboarding and operational support around them.

In property management, sustainable growth doesn’t come from hiring for the sake of hiring.

It comes from recruiting people with the right attitude, then providing the training, processes and leadership needed to build capability and confidence.

Skills can be taught.
But without structure, even the right hire will struggle.

If your PM team needs additional support with onboarding, training or operational efficiency, send me a message.

Most property managers have nowhere to openly talk about the REAL stuff…

The difficult landlords.
The fee conversations.
The compliance pressure.
The wins.
The frustrations.
The “surely it’s not just me?” moments

So… I’ve created The PM Pour🍷

A space for Property Managers to connect, learn, vent, share ideas and have real conversations about the industry we work in every single day.

No fluff.
No judgement.
Just genuine conversations with people who get it.

If you’re in Property Management and want to be part of the conversation, come and join us inside The PM Pour.

EOFY is approaching—and this is where a lot of agencies start to feel the pressure.

Unreconciled transactions, things that don’t quite add up, and records that feel harder to explain the closer you get to audit time.

And the reality is, guessing isn’t an option when it comes to trust accounting.

If you’re not completely confident in what you’re doing, it’s worth fixing now—not later.

I’m running a Trust Account Masterclass on May 28, where we’ll walk through the fundamentals properly so you know exactly what you’re looking at and what needs attention.

We’ll cover reconciliations, common red flags, record keeping, and what you need to understand heading into EOFY and audit season.

If you want to feel clear and confident going into this period, this is for you.
