Founded in 1888 the suburb grew at great pace to meet the high demands of the apple growing and market gardening industry of the quickly expanding city of Adelaide. Stirling is a town located in the Adelaide Hills only a short 20 minute drive from the Adelaide City Centre. With nearby towns such as Crafers, Aldgate and Heathfield Stirling has a population of roughly 2500 and has flourished as one of the Adelaide Hills’ most vibrant commercial strip with the widest variety of shops and beautiful deciduous trees; Particularly the Maple – Imported from Europe which flourishes in Stirling’s wet and mild cool climate.
