‼️Well this explains it! People along the North-East NSW coast are saying “I wish this rain would pi$$ off, my yard is mud”!
People just inland and west of the ranges are saying “We are in drought, tanks empty, dams very low, I really hope it rains soon”.�😮Look at the huge rainfall differences so far in 2026 between the Northern Rivers & Northern Tablelands!��I have included percentages to make it more comparable.

👉1300mm at Ballina or 95% of their 1348mm average YTD�
👉438mm at Grafton or 63% of their 690mm average YTD�
👉870mm at Coffs or 68% of their 1238mm average YTD�
👉536mm at Casino or 74% of their 730mm average YTD�
👉300mm at Glen Innes or 56% of their 534mm average YTD�
👉244mm at Tenterfield or 44% of their 529mm average YTD�
👉228mm at Armidale or 48% of their 469mm average YTD

🔴Casino just 50kms from Ballina and has had 59% less rain.
🔴Tenterfield is 150kms inland from Ballina and has had a whopping 82% less rain.�
🔴Glen Innes 100kms inland from Grafton has had 32% less rain than Grafton.�
🔴Armidale 140kms inland from Coffs has had a huge 74% less rain.

So for areas through the hinterland and west of the ranges rainfall is going to be critical from early Spring into Summer - especially when temps become hot which we know they will soon. If El Nino bites it won't even matter much at all for people who are wet now on the coast.
