Turns out a show that gave us…

“I do love a locker room. It smells like potential.”

…also gave us some pretty solid leadership lessons 😂

These are the ones that have stuck with me.

Should investors still be buying in this market?

If the right property comes along and the numbers stack up, I believe the answer can absolutely be yes.

Property investment isn’t about one year, one interest-rate cycle or the government of the day. It’s a long-term strategy built around affordability, rental return, cash flow, growth potential and having the right buffer in place.

This isn’t about buying any property just to get into the market. It’s about buying the right property, at the right price, with a plan you can hold through changing conditions.

Don’t let short-term noise make a long-term decision for you.

Would you buy in the current market if the numbers stacked up?

This is something I’ve had to learn as a leader:

Being needed for every decision isn’t the goal.

The goal is to build a team that feels trusted, supported and confident enough to keep moving without always waiting for me.

That takes clear systems, honest conversations and the discipline not to jump in and fix everything.

I’ll always be there when my team needs me. But to me, great leadership means helping people realise just how capable they are.

Supported, not dependent.

That’s the goal.

What does great leadership look like to you?

Spring is here, and so is our September PM Book Club read ✨

This month, we’re reading The Ride of a Lifetime by Robert Iger, a look inside his 15 years leading The Walt Disney Company and the lessons he learnt about leadership, creativity and navigating change along the way.

I’m looking forward to unpacking this one together and seeing what we can take from it into our own teams and careers.

Want to read or listen along with us? DM me to join our PM Book Club WhatsApp group 🩷

Property management comes with its fair share of heavy days, but the right team makes all the difference.

Very grateful for my team, the way they show up, back each other and still find plenty of reasons to laugh along the way.

Leadership isn’t a title.

It’s how you show up when things are hard.
