Works powering onward with the construction of our B2 deck, in preparation for the B2 slab. Our precast columns to the exterior wall are in place, with steelwork being installed for the interior columns to then be formed up for pouring next week. Steel arriving Thursday for B2 slab fix out beginning next week.

Excited that we have fully excavated the final basement level and removed all spoil from site. The team has also installed the shotcrete blinding layer and waterproofing membrane to half of the remaining pile wall.
Next week we do the final excavation works of both the lift shaft as well as the stormwater detention tank, at which time we can then remove the equiptment fully from the basement.
This will be followed by an additional blinding layer of shotcrete to the basement floor, the remaining pile wall (including waterproofing) and final shotcrete layer to the basement walls.
Then it will be all hands on deck as the steel fixers arrive to prepare for the basement slab, along with the install of electrical and plumbing works required in the slab.
A really important milestone as we get out of the mud and start to come back out of the ground.
Watch this space as we crack on and start to build momentum 🎉

Rainy Monday and a clear Tuesday has our shotcreteing team powering ahead, and the finished wall looking a treat. We expect the excavators to power back up Thursday and start the journey to the bottom of our basement.

Blinding layer and waterproof membrane being installed, with the prep underway for the next layer of shotcrete for our second section of our basement excavation. Once the shotcrete is complete the excavators are back into the next level of excavation to get down to our final basement level. Let’s all 🤞 for the rain to stay away 🫣

The machines were busy last week excavating to the next level of the basement. With a further 3m exposed, we will look to have the pile wall cleaned for shotcreting and waterproofing over the next 2 weeks, before we restart the process all over again.

36 hours of pumping and 250,000 litres later, and the site is ready for the reintroduction of our excavator to commence the next stage of excavation. We expect to be able to move the 200mm of “sludge” to one side, and get to work on the hard soil below, mixing it through to dry out the remaining spoil for removal.
Quick, let’s get digging

A heavy lifting day for our crane as the corner props are installed in place. These props are designed to brace against the external pressures applied to the pile wall to allow further excavation of the basement whilst retaining the structural integrity of the walls, until we are able to apply the final bracing by the car park decks. Once the basement car park goes in, the props are able to be removed and the decks replace as the bracing against the pile walls.
