We are delighted to announce that we are finally at full capacity with 105-110 contractors onsite daily across multiple trades.

It is exciting to finally have the momentum we have been waiting for, after so many months of sporadic attendance from both subcontractors and staffing when GCB was managing the site.

We are pushing full steam ahead now without compromising on delivering a quality project next year.

Now that we are the builders, you can enjoy specific and real-time program updates as outlined below:
• Get ready for the big reveal as the scaffolding drop begins from the top down
• Joinery has been completed from levels 1- 5 with level 6 being installed this week
• Wardrobe & shower screen contracts have now been awarded, with site measurement underway up to level 7
• Stone installation commenced today with measuring completed up to level 5
• Balustrading posts are in with the glass install starting towards the end of the week on level 15 and working down
• Painters are working in and around the external scaffold exterior and are also working up the internal of the building
• All other trades are tracking well including electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling, and mechanical

We have a strong team in place and are on track to deliver View in the first half of 2024. We will update you with a more accurate timeframe as we move closer to completed works.

You will be aware from previous communication and recent publicity that GCB Constructions have been experiencing some financial difficulties. Their situation has further deteriorated to the extent that we have now terminated the construction contract with them.

Over the past few months, we have incurred significant additional costs in making arrears payments to subcontractors and suppliers to assist GCB and keep the project moving, at the same time we have been working on contingency plans should the worst eventuate. The primary focus being to ensure continuity and avoid further delays.

We are fully committed to the project and have immediately implemented plans to carry on construction under our own builder’s license. We have already engaged our key construction management staff and have progressed negotiations to ensure that the majority of trade subcontractors continue with the project to achieve a seamless transition.

Whilst there may be a short period of inactivity, we are confident that the plans we have put in place will see the successful completion of works in the most timely manner. Naturally, we will keep you updated on progress as we move through this transitional stage.

At Vantage View, construction on site is progressing well. We have now poured the roof and the lift lid, capping off the structure of the building - making the tower fully enclosed. The windows and doors have been installed up to level 13.

GCB Constructions are also powering ahead with the internal finishes; sheeting of the internal walls to level 9.

Whilst Queensland has had many weather events over the past 6 months, we are working on our timeline and anticipate delivery of your apartment towards the end of 2023. However, as it is so far out, this is a simple guide only.

We trust that you had a lovely Christmas with family and friends over the holiday period and are excited for the year ahead.
GCB Constructions have begun to see trades coming back to site this week and we will see a gradual build-up to full capacity throughout the remainder of January.
We are pouring Level 13 and expect to finalise the building structure during the first quarter of 2023.
We continue to see the construction industry as a challenging environment - GCB has encountered some supply issues, contractor terms and conditions, and associated staffing issues.
The completion date is always difficult to estimate, especially when we are still this early into the build, however, we are hopeful View can be delivered in the last quarter of 2023.

WE ARE NOW OUT OF THE GROUND

At Vantage View construction onsite is progressing well. Basements 1, 2 & 3 are now constructed and all services have been installed. In addition, scaffolding has been erected for the commencement of the tower structure.

The podium pour, which is consider as level 1, was split into 3 pours - as it so large! To complete these 3 pours GCB Constructions were granted approval from Gold Coast City Council to commence early works starting 5.30am and finishing off at 8.30pm. GCB are targeting to pour the first pour of level 2 - we will now start to see the tower structure rise.

Whilst Queensland has had many weather events over the past 6 months we are working to our time-line and expect delivery of your apartment prior to December 2023.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
You will be delighted to know construction is progressing well, despite the recent weather events on the Gold Coast, we are still on track for completion second half of 2023.

For those of you who like construction detail, March has been a hive of activity, having excavated to basement level three. The crane was installed over a couple of days early this month, and it is very impressive, as you can see it from all over the Gold Coast. After this the lift pit and lift structure were installed.

GCB have commenced construction on the columns, pad footings (the structure for the building) and with the final ramp into the pit being excavated as we speak. The concrete pour for level 3 basement floor commenced at the start of this week and will be completed in early April.

Off the back of the recent news with a couple of builders collapsing, we are happy to report GCB have completed six vigorous audits to maintain their building licences, with all audits passing with flying colours. It is also worth noting that none of their nominated subcontractors are tied up with the collapsed builders. BUILDING HERE WE COME!!

The site is now buzzing with a hive of activity since awarding the building contract to GCB Constructions to build View, the final stage of Vantage Gold Coast.

Over the past month we have seen the site cleared in readiness for the civil works, temporary services enabled for water and electricity, all our fencing erected and site sheds set up ready to go!

View remains on schedule for completion for mid-2023.
