PROJECT UPDATE: Renmark Riverfront Wharf Upgrade

The achievements are coming thick and fast along the Renmark riverfront. Here is what has happened over the past couple of weeks.

⭐ The retaining wall is nearing completion with over 280 metres installed by local contractors.

⭐ The new three-metre wide ramps are in construction to support the accessibility of our riverfront.

⭐ Steel mooring bollards have been installed along the length of the wharf ready to welcome boats this summer.

Council recently nominated for the National Awards for Local Government for Disaster Preparedness.

Our nomination focused on the levee network and interactive mapping tool. Highlighting our approach to disaster prevention and preparedness was to ensure that our infrastructure and townships could withstand the impending flow of the River Murray and engage and inform our community throughout the event.
