We have the Blue Tier ranges as a shadow here. Not a shadow from the sun, but a shadow from the rain. We often watch the fronts circle us and go out to sea. Usually with a sigh.

Over the years we have been developing our organic vegetable oasis. It has always been a success, unless the water runs out.

After much pinched skin, scrapes and bruises putting pipes and clamps together, the irrigation scheme has been rolled out to target water to where it is needed most.

From our perspective, this view is just as amazing as the forest and Tasmanian Sea from the front windows.

Time your trip here for December for fresh out of the garden garlic - we will have heaps!

We have an organic vegetable garden here at The Ship. At the moment you can harvest your own potatoes and herbs, it’s seasonal of course. Through Spring and summer we will be growing raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, artichoke, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, ginger, chilies, onions, lettuce and anything else we can think of.

You will probably probably see The Captain over there wandering around lost in garden time - say hello and wander over and grab some veges to go with your meat or seafood BBQ platter.

It is going to be a great season.

✨ 5★ stay at The Ship with Brett & Debi ✨

We had the most wonderful time here. The accommodation is truly unique — full of character and charm — and our room was so cozy with the most beautiful ocean views. Perfect place to just relax and switch off.
One of the absolute highlights was the enormous property. So much to explore… and we even spotted wallabies with joeys! Completely unforgettable. The outdoor community area with the fire pit is incredibly inviting — we spent such lovely evenings out there.
And the night sky… crystal clear and pure magic for stargazing.
Breakfast was excellent too (highly recommend!).
Brett and Debi are the most fantastic hosts — made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We would gladly stay again and highly recommend The Ship to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

We recently had some guests stay from Lord Howe Island They said the only thing missing was some crisp Limoncello after scollops and crayfish on the BBQ.

Introducing Small Batch Tasmanian Wh**ky Gin & Vodka small batch Limoncello. Created at Table Cape way up on the North-West Coast of Tasmania. Now available by the nip in our honesty bar.

Being , we even know the guy that grows the lemons in his back yard to make this!

Meet Eric.

Quite chilled and more interested in what’s under the ground than what’s above it. Eric wandered up from the bush this morning to hang out with our guests enjoying breakfast in the sun. Just wandered up and around as if they weren’t there. Just another bunch of shadows over potential ant meal locations.

Many people are familiar with the sculptures of Folko Kooper. An old friend, Folko is the creator of 43p - 3 bronzes parrots on double loops.
