A client at her 60s is looking to buy a unit in Blacktown area.

She has been renting for 20 years when a unit in the area worthed about 50 - 70K with rental approx 70 per week.

Now an old unit 2 beds, 2 baths in the area cost at least 450 - 500K, rental 500 per week.

She regrets so much putting her money in bank account and see it losing value through years.

In Australia, owning properties are always sustainable way to at least maintain your wealth if not expand it.

After several years (usu 5 - 7 years) you get both cashflow and capital gain. The rental usually covers both principal and interest after 5 - 7 years (i.e. your investment pay for itself).

If you cannot own a detach house, a townhouse, a unit still gets you better than putting your money in bank accounts.
