What We’re Looking For:
We’re after motivated individuals or teams who take initiative, communicate well and can deliver exceptional cleaning results. You’ll be an important part of ensuring our guests enjoy a spotless and welcoming stay every time.

Essential Requirements:
* ABN and Public Liability Insurance
* Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
* Own cleaning equipment
* Local residency (Bribie Island or surrounds)
* Experience in short-stay accommodation or housekeeping is highly regarded, though not essential. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are key, as last-minute bookings and changes can occur.

Your Responsibilities:
* Clean and prepare holiday accommodation to a high standard after guest check-out
* Report any maintenance issues or damages to the agent
* Perform additional duties such as linen washing, spring cleaning (when necessary) and inventory checks
* Manage your time effectively and work independently, even under pressure on busy turnaround days

Three rate rises this year have cut into borrowing power, and buyers are following their budgets. This means looking further from capital cities, at regional markets, or at units instead of houses.
Our First National offices are seeing it first-hand.

The biggest jumps in house searches between July 2025 and July 2026:
🔹Julatten, near Port Douglas, up 235 per cent (land there can still sell for under $1 million),
🔹Biggenden up 222 per cent
🔹Apple Tree Creek up 210 per cent, both inland of Hervey Bay.

Capital cities are feeling it too. Risdon Vale and Gagebrook in Hobart, and Monash, Oxley and Holder in Canberra, are all drawing more interest as buyers chase value close to the city.

First National Bonnici & Associates went the distance for the Spring 2026 Sh*tbox Rally.

William Bonnici and teammate Carey drove approximately 3,400km from Adelaide to Darwin over seven days, raising funds for the Cancer Council. Their ride: a 2000 Toyota Corolla named "Maureen."

The pair set out to raise $20,000. Despite Maureen cracking a radiator in the final 600km, they pushed through and raised more than $21,000. Across the rally, participating teams raised over $2.5 million for cancer research.
