It was such a pleasure to welcome the students back to Marmong Waters. Our residents truly enjoyed reconnecting and sharing stories — moments like these remind us how special intergenerational connections can be. 2025 Health & Wellness is a Focus for Our Residents! 🌟

We have been busy as always and so far in 2025 our residents have been inspired by a Healthy Sleep Seminar, Nutrition for Seniors Presentation and a Motivational Local Guest Speaker.

On top of that our residents are busy honing their lawn bowls skills on the new green, playing Snooker/Pool, Tai Chi, Exercise Groups & Aqua Class, Mahjong & Canasta, Sewing/Knitting Group, Book Club, Travel Group, Brushstrokes, Bus Trips, Cycling Groups, Happy Hour, Raffles, Bingo and Meditation for that much needed mental reset and relaxation!

At Marmong Waters we recognise the importance of supporting the well-being of all residents and we have a strong focus on ensuring that our senior residents have the resources and programs they need to thrive. We know that as people age, they may face unique physical, mental, and emotional challenges. We organise Guests Speakers that cover Health & Fitness, Mental Wellness Support, Health Education and much more. Some of the Presentations/Classes we are offering our residents in 2025 are:
Nutrition Presentation, Healthy Sleep Seminar, Centrelink & Care Plan Advisory Services via online webinars, Signs and Symptoms of a Stroke Presentation, Home care Package Provider Presentations, Researching your family history by local Representative, Care Support Speakers, Emergency Call Presentation and Falls Prevention Presentation.

2024 is almost wrapped up! We have had our busiest year in the village so far! If you are wondering what the residents have been doing - here is a little overview: Bus Trips, Raffles, Brushstrokes Class, Tai Chi Group, Zumba, Aqua, Cycling group, Ladies Pool, Men's Snooker, Canasta Group, Mahjong Group, Scrabble Saturday's, Movies at Marmong, Wine Tasting in the Centre, Many Catered events, Men in Motion, Numerous Well Being and Computer Classes, HUGE fundraising with local groups, Wander down Wednesday, Travel Group, Happy Hour....
I wish all our amazing residents a Healthy and Happy 2025 and look very forward to seeing you on our new Bowling Green very soon!

Our Weekly Tai Chi group has wrapped up for the year! A HUGE thank you to our Fearless Instructor Lee for giving up her precious time each Monday morning to instruct the residents. This year's gold coin donations totalled a massive $2256 and assisted 11 charities. Tai Chi resumes Monday 8th January 2024 at 9.30am.

Amazing creations from Tuesday mornings craft group! These little beauties are being donated to JHH Children’s ward and also a local Domestic Violence Foundation! Completely biased, but I think they look amazing and what a wonderful way to spend Tuesday mornings. Well done everyone and special thanks to Sharon L’s superb guidance! These little characters will warm the hearts of their new owners.😍
